The two maps shows the changes in the area around a river before and after a flood.
According to the old map, there were houses on both sides of the river and a bridge on the river. People can pass back and forth across the bridge. Moreover there were some trees near the river.
As can be seen from the new map, compared with the old map, there are many differences between the new and the old. The number of house has decreased significantly. The meandering river was transformed into a straight river and a lake named Oxbow lake. Many trees by the river have disappeared. Meanwhile, the bridge has disappeared because nobody lived on the onther side of the river.
Overall, every house was close to each other, which made people’s lives are very convenient. And there were new beautiful lake for people, which not only give local adults had more special room to relaxed, but also suit the needs of its growth.
