The comparision is drawn between maried men and maried women having either no child, 1-2 children or more than 3 children. The unpaid work here refers to childcare, gardening or any household work.
According to the data, in each category, women are more indulged in household work than men. As the number of children in the house increases, the work of women has also increased. On the contrary, it is not the same with men, with the increase of kids, the indulgence of men has decreased. In other words, men have shown involvement in housework more when there were no children. Whereas, a women has shown more involvement when there were more than 3 children.
Therefore, we can say that married women are the most contributive in household work, as compared to men. Furthermore, as the number of kids in the family increases, the responsibility of women, and her workload also increases exponentially.
