In 1998, the central part of the museum included a café, a garden, and a ticket office, arranged consecutively from north to south. In the north-west and north-east corners, there were two permanent exhibition rooms. Below them, in the south-west corner, a temporary exhibition room was located, while in the south-east corner, there was a shop, adjacent to which were the WC and coatroom.
By 2008, the museum had undergone several major layout changes. The large permanent exhibition in the north-west was replaced by a restaurant and the temporary exhibition room, which had been relocated from the south-west. As a result, the south-west area was used for additional shops and a new coatroom. Although the café remained in its original place, the WC was moved next to it, replacing its former location. The garden in the center was transformed into an outdoor café area with several fountains, while the entrance and exit of the ticket office remained unchanged. Finally, the western part of the museum was entirely dedicated to a large permanent exhibition room.
