The diagrams illustrate the changes that took place in the coastal village of Seaville between 1980 and 2010.
Overall, Seaville underwent significant development over the 30-year period, transforming from a relatively undeveloped coastal area into a well-equipped residential and recreational village. The most notable changes include the expansion of housing, the construction of new facilities, and substantial improvements to transport infrastructure.
In 1980, the village was largely natural and sparsely developed. Woodland occupied the northern area, while a marshland was located near the centre. Housing was limited and mainly concentrated along the western coastline. A small number of buildings were situated near the shore, and access to the village was relatively restricted, with minimal road infrastructure.
By 2010, Seaville had been extensively modernised. The woodland was replaced by a golf course, and the marshland was removed to make way for permanent housing. A large residential area was constructed in the western part of the village, while additional accommodation appeared closer to the coastline. Furthermore, new amenities such as a boating marina and holiday apartments were added, enhancing the village’s appeal as a tourist destination. Road networks were also significantly expanded, particularly around the eastern bank, greatly improving accessibility throughout the area.
