This report presents a life cycle that depicts how honey bees grow, from eggs to maturity.
Overall, honey bees have a lifespan of 34-36 days, which consists of four main stages: egg, nymph moult, young adult, and mature adult.
The cycle commences when honey bees’ eggs are laid, which hatch after 9-10 days. Five days later, the head of the honey bee can be seen, and it takes two days for the honey bee to emerge from the pupa. During this stage, they grow and develop before transforming into nymphs on the ninth day of their lifespan.
Honey bees in this step are considered nymphs, during which they lose their old skin and hair, which are replaced by new ones. The emergence of young adult honey bees is the next stage, where they can be seen with their new skin, and it takes just four days for them to develop into mature adults. Finally, every three days, female honey bees lay 1 or 2 eggs, and then the process starts all over again.
