The given flow chart provides visual information about the agricultural process of how sugar is produced from sugar cane
Looking from an overall perspective, the process consists of seven main stages, commencing with the growth of sugar canes and concluding with drying and cooling the sugar crystals extracted from its syrup using a centrifuge.
In the initial stage, sugar canes are grown from 12 months to 18 months. Once matured, they are harvested either manually or automatically by machines before undergoing a crushing process where ripe sugar canes are crushed to extract the juice. In the next following stage, extracted juice is purified to remove impurities, using limestone filter.
In the subsequent stage, evaporator heats the purified juice at a high temperature which turns the liquid into a syrup. Afterwards, syrup is placed into a centrifuge and separated sugar crystals from it. In the final stage, this extraction is cooled and dried in a large container to produce sugar available for consumption.
