Task Response

The report provides a general overview of the pear canning process, but it lacks specific details and accurate descriptions of each stage. The organization is somewhat clear, but the language used is basic and contains grammatical errors. To improve, focus on providing more precise information about each step in the process, using more accurate vocabulary, and ensuring grammatical correctness. The report falls short of the required 150 words.

Coherence & Cohesion

The report's organization into 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Finally' is a basic attempt at structuring the process, but it feels somewhat disjointed and doesn't fully capture the flow of the diagram. The transitions between stages could be smoother. Consider using more varied cohesive devices to link the steps in the process more effectively. For example, instead of just 'Then,' try using phrases like 'Following this' or 'Subsequently.' Paragraphing could be improved to better group related stages of the process together.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary used is adequate for describing the process, but it lacks precision and sophistication. There are instances of imprecise word choice (e.g., 'transmit' instead of 'transport'). To improve, try to incorporate more specific and technical vocabulary related to food processing and manufacturing. For example, instead of 'special washing machine,' you could use 'industrial washing equipment.' Also, avoid informal language like 'go to' and opt for more formal alternatives such as 'are transferred to'.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The report contains several grammatical errors that affect clarity. There are issues with verb tense ('pears have been coming'), subject-verb agreement, and article usage. Sentence structure is also quite basic, limiting the complexity of the information conveyed. To improve, focus on using a wider range of grammatical structures, such as passive voice to describe processes (e.g., 'pears are peeled' instead of 'pears go through peeling'). Pay close attention to correcting basic grammatical errors through careful proofreading.
