The diagrams illustrate how a planned library had changed between 2001 and 2009.
Overall, it is clear that ground floor had undergone a number of significant changes and the most striking shift are the rearrangement of some subjects and the improvement in the access to the internet. These changes made library more modern and provide more sources of information.
With regard to map in 2001, there were a librarian’s desk and stairs adjacent to the entrance. To the west and north , a large space spent for self-help, history and fiction books. In the middle of the map, many tables located orderly. Newspaper and peropdicals emerged in the east.
After 8 years, librarian’s desk and stairs near the entrance had remained intact while most of area in the map witnessed a waves of changes. To the west and north side, there had been an addition of various fields such as kitchen, economics, laws and children’s books. In the center of the library, small tables were replaced by large ones with less quantity. In front of the tables, there was an emergence of children’s area and it helps children access easily to the library. To the east, what used to be a reading space for newspaper and peropdicals had been films and DVDs. Next to films and DVDs, computers had been constructed.
