Overall, the process consists of 7 steps beginning from harvesting olives from the trees and ending with the product being stored and ready for sale. To complete these phases, human involvement is required at several stages, especcialy at the beginning.
The initial phase takes place outdoors, where people begin picking olives from the trees. The harvested olives then are rinsed in cold water before being for crush transported via conveyor belt for smashing. After the process of crushing the resulting olive paste is separated from the stones in it.
At the following stage, the extracted paste is put into perforated bags and after that is sent to the pressing stage. Once the paste is squeezed, it is separated into two components: water and oil. Finally once this step is complete, the finished product is stored in storage tanks before being sold to cunsumers.
