The diagram gives information about the manufacturing and recycling of paper.
Overall, paper production comprises seven distinct stages, while the recycling process has three sequential steps before leading back to pulping step.
The initial stage of paper production begins with the felling of trees to harvest logs, which undergo bark removal using drums. Next, the debarked logs are chipped, resulting in the formation of wood chippings. Subsequently, they are processed in a refiner, where they are transformed into pulp. Following this, the pulp is pressed into sheets of paper before being rolled. The final stage of this production line involves in the printing of newspapers from the rolled paper.
The recycling phase commences with the collection of used newspapers. The subsequent step includes the removal of ink from these newspapers using an ink remover. Once the ink is eliminated, they are processed to revert to a pulp, thereby restarting the cycle of the paper production and recycling.
