The diagram demonstrates how olive oil is made from fresh olives.
Overall, the process has eight distinct stages, beginning at the collection of olives from fresh trees and ending at the transportation for sales.
The first step is harvesting olives from planted trees with a rake by farmers before storing them in a vat for two to three days. Afterward, olives are soaked with cool water to wash off dust from the natural environment. From this stage forward, cleaned olives are now crushed by huge hammers from crushing machines which then separate the stone and the olive paste. Olive stones are stored in a container while the paste is delivered via a pipe to another manufacturing step called pressing and filtering process.
At this step, by utilizing hydraulic press, the olive paste is now filtered to extract oil from the mixture. Subsequently, the substance is conveyed in a centrifuge machine, which spins and separates water from the oil. Then, water is poured out through a small pipe at the bottom of the machine while extracted oil is delivered via another pipe that goes directly to bottles. Finally, after oil is filled up all bottles in the factory, the products are transported and ready for distribution at local stores.
