The diagram illustrates an aluminium recycle process of cans from the moment they are disposed in the bins. It takes about seven steps of the process for them to be recycled and used again until they thrown in the bin and the process continues.
Overall, one can note that the cycle starts with the can being put in the bin, and the bin collectors transporting them to the compressing machines where they are processed and made new recycled materials that can be used for fresh products.
As shown on the diagram, aluminium cans are disposed in segregated trash bins and the bin collectors emptied the cans in a truck, which take the aluminium cans for cleaning, sorting, shredding and compressing of everything. After the compression process heat is applied on the can and melting process takes places immediately.
Soon after the melting process, there is the rolling process of 2.5mm-6mm thickness of the aluminium, and from there the recycled cans are produced readily to be re-used again. Lastly, branding and selling of the drinks cans starts.
The diagram illustrates in a clear and comprehensive manner the whole process of recycling of aluminium cans from the point of disposal until they are reused again as new containers.
