The diagram depicts various stages of matches- making process.
Overall, there are 9 primary steps in this process, which starts with matchsticks be cut into small shapes before processing and ends with the resulting fragments be dipped into different chemical tank that then be placed into drying areas for packaging. At the beginning steps, the log of wood is peeled by a peeler to become the thin shape called veneer. The chopper cuts these thin sheets into small sticks which are later washed in ammonium phosphate tank. The sticks then are placed into a circular and rotated in a rotating drum. Afterwards, they are dumped in a hopper and pushed through the metal duct by a blower.
In the next stage, the matchsticks are gathered in a storage area where they are arranged in a funnel. These are inserted a perforated steel belt. When the belts move along, the matchsticks are dipped in a series of three tanks containing components such as paraffin wax, chemicals, tip chemicals. Next, the belts loop up and down through a drying area. In the final step of the process, the matches are packaged. The process commences again.
