The graphic illustrates the steps of the aluminium cans recycling process.
Overall, it is an 11-stage, man-made, linear process. It takes six weeks and starts with collecting and depositing of waste material, finally resulting in production of new cans.
To begin with, the waste is collected by special cars and then transported to factories to be subsequently deposited. Subsequently, the cans are exposed to water and crushed. Once the waste is erased with chemicals and heated, it becomes a raw material that can be used for moulding new aluminium cans.
After getting a flat shape, each product is weighted before it is rolled on a special machine. The final outcome is a new can ready to store any cold drinks.
