The diagram illustrates the stages involved in book publishing process, from the initial writing process until the final distribution process, which approximately takes 18 to 24 months.
Overall, the process that shown consist of nine major steps, begin with writing and send it tothe publishing houses and end with distribution to the bookshops. Before the writer can distribute the book, they have to wait the result for the manuscript to be approved by the publishhing houses, especially by the editor.
After being approved, the writer can sign a contract with the publishing house. Following this, the writer will decide which design fo layout that they will use for the cover of its’ book and the publishing house also have rights to decide wether it’s suitable or not.
Once the layout is confirmed, they can move to the production process. It is printed and bind it become one singular book that are ready to be read by the customer. In the last stage, they are distributed to bookshops, making it available for sale.
