The diagram illustrates the wool production process step by step.
Overall, the procedure mainly consists of nine steps, beginning with shearing the sheep’s wool and ending with balls of yarns ready to be knitted or made into carpets and jackets.
Firstly, the sheep is sheared in order to get wool. After that, the wool is cleaned manually from dusts, dirt, and impurities before being left to hang dry. Then the wool is being spun longer to produce either strings or balls of wool.
With strings, after being used, it is going to be recycled. However, with balls of wool, they can be twisted into tufts of wool. Colors are dyed into the tufts, and subsequently, the wool is boxed and stacked into individual units. Finally, balls of yarn are being sold individually to either consumers to make crafts like knitting or to factories to manufacture products like jackets and carpets.
