The diagram illustrates the natural water cycle showing how the water flows within the environment.
Overall, it consists of five main stages which are; evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, and collection.
To start with, the water flowing through the surface goes under evaporation by the solar heat, while plants release water through evapotranspiration. The moisture then undergoes condensation forming clouds and the droplets of water at higher altitudes.
Following that, precipitation takes place when the rainwater falls to the ground, returning the water back to the land surface after going through a lot of infiltration. Some amount of water then penetrates into the soil, increasing groundwater level which is gathered above the bedrock layer. While, the rest of the water then runs off, flowing to the land and joining the streams or river which is then flowed and mixed with the ocean water. Then once again the evaporation process occurs due to the heat of the solar energy. Thus, the water cycle repeats continuously.
