The diagram visualizes the way which steel rods are made in the furniture industry.
Overall, the steel rod manufacturing process has eleven steps, which begins with raw material and ends with inspection.
Firstly, raw material was put into the melting slit. There it reaches about 1300-1500 degrees Celsius, and melts until it becomes a liquid. Then it is puts into the smelting cabin and gets refined. After that, the molten steel is poured into ingots. Those ingots are connected to cooling reservoir and cools down to 60-100 degrees Celsius. The metal goes through nozzles and becomes strands of cooled metal.
Then, those strands go through various rollers, until they reach the preferred thickness. Then these strands are put into the heating machine and goes through heat treatments. After that, the strands’ surface gets checked through a machine.
After those steps, the strands are sized and cut into shorter rods. After that, the manufacturer stamps the ID on the rods. As the final check, those rods undergo a quality inspection and released to the public markets.
