Initially, two adult butterflies mate together and then the female butterfly lays eggs on plant. At this phase, eggs are contain embryos inside them. Embryo is grows inside each egg. The embryos are take around two to three weeks for their develop. After this phase, the embryo is transformed into a caterpillar and it takes nearly two months for its skin-shedding growth. When a caterpillar completes its skin-shedding process then it makes a pupa which requires about two hours.
Finally, the pupal stage arises which is known as the last stage of butterflies life cycle. This stage is scientifically known as metamorphosis occurs. In this time, a pupa gradually resembles into an adult butterfly and this stage needs approximately two weeks and the life cycle begins again.
