This diagram illustrates the basic principle of hydroelectric dam. The process requires the constructon of large dam connected to a powerrhouse. The Dam creates a lage reservoir and powerhouse to create electricity. According to science it generates energy which result eclctricity.
First of all, the river water goes inside penstock throught a thin tunnel, where a resulting high pressure turns a turbine. The generator is connected to the turbine in the powerhouse above, because of movemnet in turbine it convert into electricity and pass it towards the powerhouse to long distance power lines. meanwhile the remaining water goes out in the reservoir for storage later with evaporates through watercycle.
It is an interesting note that a hydroelectric dam creates electricity, it creates elctricity with the help og generator and remaning water left
in rivers, without causing any pollution or follwing sustainable development.It also good for environment and ecofriendly. The process is renewable thanks to water cycle in nature.
