The maps below illustrates the developements which took place in Liverton Docks from 1980 to the present days. In general, it can be seen that a comparison of the two maps reveals a complate transformation from a building area to a populated area with more constractions and opportunities.
In 1980, it is clear that on the north side of the river ther were couple of similar warehouses and cranes. Noticeably, the river was used as moving roads for the transportation. On the south side of the river, there was a direction leading to the coastline. Furthermore, in comparison to the north side, there were only one crane and warehouse.
In the present days, all three warehouses has been replaced by new buildings. The two warehouses on the north side has been replaced by education center and loft’s playroom. Meanwhile, an another warehouse on the south has been replaced by apartments. Moreover, the crane between education center and Loft’s playroom has been demolished and sailing place take that place. While n the south part there are new buildings such as hotel and kitchen. Interestingly, rleet barrier and lower walk has been built alongside to the river. As for the river itself, river is no longer uses as moving road to the ships. Ther are two new constractions, the ship meseum and dock which spans the river.
