The diagram demonstrates the process of producing sugar from sugar canes.
Overall, the process includes seven steps. This linear process starts with growing sugar canes and concludes with drying and cooling sugar.
In detail, sugar canes must be grown in 12 to 18 months before being harvested by farmers and specialized vehicles. Once it is collected, a crushing machine is used to convert sugar canes into liquid matter. This is followed by a purification step, where sugar cane juice is poured into funnels with limestone filters.
At the following stage, heat is used in a process called “Evaporation”, where purified juice is conversed into syrup. Next, the syrup will be separated to become sugar crystals using a centrifuge machine. Finally, drying and cooling sugar are the last steps of the process to produce sugar.
