The sketch diagram illustrates the changes that are proposed to be made for the Foster Road, a road located between SE 84th and 85th avenue. Overall, the proposal is highlighting the needs for better infrastructures that can be beneficial for pedestrians, cyclers, and people living around the neighborhood.
The first notable change is the installation of wider sidewalks. Previously, the sidewalk is just enough to accommodate one person at a time, and there are only small spaces in between the electrical tower. The desired state is for the sidewalks to be able to fit two people at a time, and even trees, which brings the second change demanded, the grow of trees.
The third development being wanted is a new crossing, to make it easier for pedestrians to cross from one side of the road to the other, as vehicles often pass by the area. And finally, the last proposal is made for the bicycle lanes. The bicycle lanes should be available in both sides of the street, and it is located between the sidewalks and the main road.
