The given diagram provides the increasing cycle of Volcanic Island.
Overall, this process contains 9 steps, from Pillow Phase of Pre-Shield Stage to Guyot Stage, and it is linear process.
The process starts with Pillow Phase of Pre-Shield Stage, then it moves to Hyaloclastic Phase of Proto-Shield Stage. Subsequently, Explosive Phase of Shield Stage begins with the Hydro Explosion, which extracts new layer Ash Cone. Fourth step is Sub-Aerial Phase of Shield Stage, in which the Volcano starts being active. However, from Post-Shield Stage, the Volcano returns to be inactive due to Cinder Cones, which closes top of it.
The sixth step is called Erosion, a subsidence stage in which top of the volcano would be a bit shorter and from two base sides forms coral reefs and sediments relatively. Afterwards, Rejuvinated stage begins with activating the volcano as fourth stage. This activating releases lava flows. Eighth stage called Coral Atoll stage in which eroded surface formed at or near sea level and submerged and owing to shortened top, lagoons would be formed. The last step is Coyote stage in which the volcano goes underwater and reef wholly covers the volcano.
