The diagram showcases how Wesak lanterns, which are used by Sri Lankas to celebrate the annual festival of WeSak in May , are made.
Overall, there are 8 steps involved in the process of making Wesak lanterns, starting with collecting bamboo sticks and ending with the final lantern.
In the first stage, 25 bamboo sticks, which are 25 cm in length, are collected. In the next stage, these sticks are tied together via strings to form exactly 6 similar squares and then these squares are connected together to build a frame. In the fourth step, the connected frame is strengthened via other unused sticks to form a final basic frame.
In the following step, paper is tissued by a scissor to form 4 triangles and 4 squares. These shapes are used to decorate the cover of the lantern by sticking them on the frame afterwards. Subsequently, a piece of paper are tissued to form frills which are glued to the bottom border of the lantern. Final, connecting the lantern with the ports used to hold via 4 strings on the top border.
