The diagram describes a breakdown of the differences between two human bone structure namely Austrapithecus afarensis and Homo erectus.
Overall, most of the former’s body parts were larger than those of the latter, who offen helped them tk walked and ran long distance.
The upper part of the human bone structure shows the feature such as unbalanced Head of the Australopithecus afarensis with long snout, while the homo erectus possessed a balanced head and shorter snout. Beside that the shoulders of the ancestors, who helped in walking and climbing activities were likely to be higher and narrow than the others. Additionally, the volume of the chest and waist of the former were broader and smaller than the letter. Moving to the arms, Formal gained much more growth in the forarm than those of the homo erectus.
Turning to the lower half of the body, the former had small hip, knee and ankle joints as compared to later. Finally, the feet of later had also smaller with shorter toes, larger heelbones and long achilles tendons as compared to as former.
