To begin with, the entry gate, which is on far right side, is demolished and a new common gate is expected to be constructed at Parkinson Court, which guides visitors directly into permanent exhibition hall. The existing permanent exhibition space is anticipated to extend by utilizing the space of temporary exhibition. The abandoned room on the left side, in current plan will be converted into a special exhibition area adjoined with a small exhibition store on north-west side.
Moving on to the right side of the map, the lobby and empty space on the north side will be transformed into an education area provided with a rectangular seating arrangements. The present office, on the southern-east is predicted to transformed into storage or plant room.
