The flow chart provides information regarding the production process of fozen fish pies. Overall, there are two main activities takes place in this process; the potato processing and fish processing, which passed through three main stages before it is frozen.
As can be seen from the chart that the frozen fish pies made of two types of raw materials, namely potato and fresh salmon. First of all, these two kinds of raw materials are transported using lorry to the production site, in which each of them takes different length of time to arrive. It takes a month for potato and twelve hours or less for fresh salmon. Upon their arrival, these two materials are processed in different ways. For potato, the process begins with cleaning. After being cleaned, potatos are pealed and sliced before they are boiled. Before the boiled potatos are stored, they went through chill process. The storage stage aims to wait for the sauced fish to be mixed.
The sauced mixed is produced trough several stages. As the fresh salmon arrives at the production site, they are mixed with lemon juice and salt in order to remove the fishy odour before they are steamed. The next step is waste disposal process. This process takes several stages beginning with removal of skin and bones of the fresh salmon, followed by the inspection process before they are peased and sauced. The sauced fish are then mixed with the chilled potato to produce the fish pies, and then the wrapping process takes place. After wrapping, the fish pies are stored into the the freeze. The last process is the frozen fish pies are stored in the biggest cold storage or they are dispatched.
