The diagram illustrates the different stages of recycling paper waste. Overall, there are six stages in the process, starting with collecting rubbish paper and culminating in paper machine manufacture.
At the first stage, waste paper is collected from either government-owned banks, where members of the public leave their used paper, or directly from the businesses. Once collected, these junk papers are then sorted manually based on its quality, and any unsuitable paper is completely removed, while the rest are kept. Following this, the appropriate paper is transported and delievered to a paper factory for processing.
In the subsequent stage, the paper undergoes a washing and mashing stage. This stage involves breaking the paper down into pulp and removing non-paper materials inside, such as staples. Next, the pulp goes into de-inking process, which specifically targets and removes chemicals, inks, and glues. Finally, the pulp goes through the paper making machine resulting new useable paper.
