The maps depict the differences between the former condition of Felixstone in the UK in 1967 and after its facilities construction in 2001.
Overall, Felixstone in 1967 possessed fewer facilities compared with the newest construction which included many tourism areas in 2001.
To begin with, Felixstone used to be less built up in 1967, particularly between shops, which only contains golf courses and farmland. Meanwhile, the farmland was reconstructed into a large hotel with a swimming pool and tennis courts facilities. Moreover, shops located at the eastern side of the high street were changed into some apartments.
In 2001 however, the small hotel provided the car park space and the fish market was replaced by a private beach. Furthermore, the marina and pier which was initially one of the prime facilities in 1967, also restructured into a public beach. The southern area of dunes was added with new infrastructures, wind turbines. Nevertheless, the golf course, cafe, and western shops of the high street remained untouched throughout this period.
