The illustrations present the changes that took place in Felixstones between 1967 and 2001. Overall, this area has witnessed various transformations, the most notable of which are the addition of residential and tourist facilities, as well as changes in infrastructure and agricultural features.
The maps show that there was a high street that ran from west to east, parallel to the coast, along with another high street, dividing the area into three parts. Regarding the top left corner, more shops were built along the north-south high street, while no change was found in the golf course. On the other side of this high street, shops were knocked down, and new apartments were then constructed. Another striking change was the establishment of a new hotel, a swimming pool, and two tennis courts in place of the farmland.
Concerning the changes in the southern section, new wind turbines were erected in front of the dunes, while a new car park was built next to the hotel. Additionally, in the southeast of the town, the pier and marina were transformed into a public beach, and the fish market became a private beach, whereas the planted tree, the dunes, the hotel, and the cafe remained unchanged.
