The line graph above illustrates the average cost (in USD) of a laptop, mobile phone, and television from the year 2020 to 2026. While the bar graph below it shows the payment method used in purchasing those devices in 2020.

Overall, laptop has the highest average cost throughout the given period. Uniquely, the only graph which depicts a slight decrease is the mobile phone, with the average cost of one thousand US dollars at the end of the period. Likewise, outright has been the most popular payment method in all age group except 18-25 years old.

At the start of the period, the average cost of a laptop is $2,000. In fact, this number increased steadily for 6 years. Mobile phone, even though starting at the lowest point, also shows a little increase from approximately $1,250 to almost $1,500 at the end of 2026.

Regarding payment method in 2020, you can see that the majority of people use outright (especially 60+ years old). Following behind, payment plan holds the second position in all age group, with its highest number in between age 18-25 years old. In addition, other methods of paying aren’t as popular as outright and payment plan.
