Overall, it is noticeable an eratic fluctuation and growth. While laptop has always been the most expensive media item, mobile phone experienced a moderate increase becoming the second most purchased device, immediately followed by televsions which, for a brief period, had the same price amount as cellular phones. Moreover, most age groups preferred outright as their preferable payment method, however the least used were other methods.
For the first two years laptop price keep increasing from $7,000 to $7,400 till 2024 when the cost plateaued to $7,500 becoming the most purchased device. In 2026 television pricing halved significantly from just under $1,500 to $1,000, however telephone prices were tediously rising from $1,300 to$1,455 making it the second-most expensive item.
Although, the oldest demographic prefered outright as their main payment method with about, among the other age groups this figure dropped sharply from 78% to approximately 22%. For instance, individuals between 18 and 25 years were inclined toward other ways to pay which recorded 40%, this rate experienced eratic fluctuations across other age brackets.
