The provided maps illustrate how a library has changed since 1975 until today.
Overall, it is evident that although the library has remained unchanged in size, it has undergone a substantial transformation, with the addition of new facilities and improvements in infrastructure aimed at enhancing the reading and studying experience of readers.
From the entrance, look towards the left side of the maps , in 1975, the library mainly comprised books and magazines area, bookshelves, shared areas located in the area to the left of the library. However, over the following years, several modifications took place. For example, the books and magazines area on the top left-hand corner of the library in 1975 were demolished to make way for a computer section. Likewise with that change, the small bookshelves in front of books and magazines were also removed to make way for coffee. Additionally, the shared area has been relocated and expanded to the center, opposite to its old position was exactly in front of the small bookshelves, now equipped with round and square desks. Meanwhile, the large bookshelves in the bottom left-hand library’s corner and the toilet next to it remained intact throughout the period.
Look at the remaining parts of the two maps , the area to the right of the library with less changed . At the top right-hand corner, two new book sections to the left of the entrance that existed in 1975 have been modified, with one section replaced by a wheelchair ramp to improve accessibility. Meanwhile, the library desk area in the east of the library and the children books area behind the shared areas remained unchanged over the given period.
