The diagram above illustrates the modifications made to West Park Secondary School since it was built in 1950.
Overall, the figure describes the changes starting from 1950, the year West Park Secondary School was first constructed, then it shows how the building was modified in 1980, and it concludes by outlining the final changes made in 2010.
In 1950, the school building was located right below the main road, in the upper right-hand corner of the map. Below it was the playground, in the right corner of the area. To the left of the playground was the farmland, and above it were three houses.
In 1980, the first renovations were made; although the positions of the main school building and the playground did not change, the farmland was replaced with a sports field, and above them a car park was constructed and placed in the left-hand corner of the map, beside a science block to its right, both replacing the houses that were removed.
The last changes were made in 2010, where the school building and the science block remained in their original places, while the size of the playground was slightly reduced and the sports field was shrunk to the left side of the playground. On the other hand, the car park was enlarged and now also occupies the area where the sports field used to be.
