The three maps illustrate how Brindell town and the local areas have developed from 1800 to 2000.
Overall, the area has shifted from a predominantly agricultural region to a mixed land use, combining cultivation-related activities and industrial development. The key changes include the significant expansion of most areas and the introduction of new accommodation and amenity for workers.
On the top of the map, a crop-growing farmland was located to the left of a woodland along the River Stour. While in 1900, these lands remained intact, the woodland was enlarged in 2000 in order to make room for the Bun Hill park on the outskirts of the land, which led to the diminution in size of the farmland.
On the opposite side, the Brindell town was situated to the left of another farmland dedicated to animal husbandry. In 1900, there has been a conversion of the grazing land into industrial region. Additionally, a village was erected to the left hand of the factories in order to provide accommodation for workers. After a century, the town and the industrial land were notably expanded, gave way for the upgrade of the factories and the village.
