The illustrations present the significant redevelopment of Brindell over 2 century, from 1800 to 2000.
Overall, this area witnessed various changes, most notably with the addition of commercial, industrial and residential area ,and also the transformation of natural features.
At the upper half of the map, the farmland in the left side remained unchanged in the first 100 years , before changing its purpose from growing crops to farming animals in 2000. Situated at the east was the woodland, this land had become more narrow over time and in 2000, a half of the land was converted into a Bun hill park. Located at the centre of the map, the river stour remained the same for 2 century.
Moving down to the southern part, the Brindell situated at the southeast corner expand its area by half in 2000. Moreover, in the western area, the original purpose for this land was for farming animals ; however, its then be transformed into a hill with a industry and housing for workers nearby in 1900. After 2 century, the village for workers and the idustrial expanded and covered most of the upland.
