The illustrations depict how Brindell developed between 1800 and 2000. Overall, the land became more spacious while the river was reduced in size. Additionally, many industrial sites and residential buildings were constructed, indicating a shift toward a more modern region.
From 1800 to 1900, the woodland in the top-right corner was partially cut down. Moreover, the farmland used for raising livestock was demolished, making room for 3 newly added industries and a village called Bun Hill. This village provided accommodation for workers of these industries nearby. Conversely, no changes were made to the other areas.
By 2000, the woodland had further reduced in size, and the Bun Hill park was constructed in part of the former woodland. The Brindell area, which was in the bottom-left corner, was expanded and became rounder. Changes also took place in the industrial area, as 4 more industries were built and the Bun Hill village was enlarged. Finally, the farmland formerly used for growing crops became a place to rear animals.
