The maps illustrate changes that took place in an area of Brindell in a two-centuary period starting from 1800. Overall, major modifications can be seen in the field of land usage and urbanization.
In 1800, to the north-west corner, there was a massive area for farming that used to plant crops. The huge woodland was located to the eastern side of the region with the River Stour down to the south. At the bottom of the map, a smaller farmland for breeding animals was positioned next to the Brindfell .
When it came to 1900, there was a reduction in size in the woodland area to make room for more crops planting. While River Stour and Brindfell remained unchanged, the land for animal husbandry was converted into three industrial buildings with a Bun hill village for workers.
By the year 2000, the woodland grew in size, divided into two places with the smaller for old woodland and the larger for a new Bun hill park. Also, there was an enlargement in both Brindfell and the industrial area. More factories were newly constructed, combined with an expanded village for employees.
