The image ilustrated the population of a salmon fish in North America from the year 1970 to 1999 and its life journey from an egg to an adult. Overall, there are seven main stages, beginning with eggs in fresh water and ending with an adult salmon fish.
The journey begins with eggs layed in fresh water and after three months the eggs hatch and turning into a Alvein. For several weeks, Alvein is fed by their yolk sac before turning into a Fry. Fry is a young salmon fish which estimated about 5 to 10 weeks old, in this stage Fry can swim by their own. In the next months, young salmon will develop a finger texture on their body and its name is turning to Parr.
Afterwards, Parr will grow and developed into a Smolt where it will continue its life in salt water in a group. An adult salmon will spend one to six years at the sea before coming back to the place where it was born and finally lays eggs and die within two weeks.
