The image contains illustrations and text labels depicting the life cycle of salmon with three main stages: "fry," "smolt," and "adult salmon." The fry stage shows a diagram of a single fish with size dimensions 3-8 cm, labeled as "upper river" with text "aprox 1 year" accompanied by illustrations of water, weed, fallen tree, and reeds. The smolt stage displays a group of five fish, size indicated as 11-15 cm, with a label "lower river (fast flowing)" and text "aprox 1 year." An arrow points to the adult salmon stage, which exhibits a single fish illustration, size specified as 70-76 cm, with a label "open sea" and text "aprox 4 years." There are two photographs below the smolt stage: one depicting a rocky river with a caption "lower river" with illegible text, and another is a generic open sea image with no text. There are curved arrows between each stage indicating the progression and flow of the life cycle.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The diagrams illustrate the salmon’s life cycle from river to open sea.

Overall, salmon eggs need almost 10 years to become adult salmon and this cycle occurs in two different environments.

The pregnant salmon lay down their eggs among small stones and under the reeds. After 5-6 months they change into fry, growth only 3-8 cm. Fry have been seen as normal fish with small bodies. Then this new form of life swam toward the lower river with fast flowing current and lived there for approximately 4 years and became smolt. Their size body is around 12-15 cm.

Smolt migrate to the open sea and find food there for approximately 5 years until become adult salmon. The size of adult salmon is almost 70-76 cm, which is larger 10 times than fry. However, salmon life is longest in the open sea, they don’t forget to back to the upper river for their eggs and the life cycle of salmon is repeated.
