The diagrams compare the layouts of a university department in 1960 and 2010.
Regarding the western side, the 1980 institution encompassed 5 main building blocks, which were the S1, S2, and S3 buildings, a library, and a small office. In specific, the S1 and S2 located to the west of the main building, while the remaining areas sited oppositely through a horizontal corridor. By 2010, the S4 and S5 were added to two sides of the school, with the later construction to the offices’ side.
Turning to the eastern side, there was a huge green area with many trees and vegetation on this area of the university in the year 1980. However, after the 30-year period, all of them have been tore down to make way for a new complex, where the library were relocated from the main tower to, and a newly established IT centre have been available for the students. Finally, car park was also introduced adjacently to the main entrance leading to the largest area, providing students with more accessibility, whereas the large road system to the south of the map remained unchanged throughout.
Overall, it is important to note that the school have undewent some improvements in terms of facilities for the univeristy’s students, yet it had already sacrifie some green trees, resulting in a much less eco-friendly image afterwards.
