The picture illustrates the flow of water to its consumers in Australia now and upcoming years. Overall, it can be seen that the flow of different types of water are seperate and the waste water is not without consideration being flowed to the nature.
Initially, the pure water from the dam is supplied to those who need it, such as shops, households, etc. After being used, the polluted water from the consumers is moved to water treatment plant, together with non-usable water from the storage.
Moreover, the waste water is collected from the water treatment plant to be recycled in order to be consumed again as clean water whereas not flowed directly to the river that damages the nature. Lastly, the storm water from the melted snow or from the rain is diverted to the river as it is not polluted and in order to continue the natural water cycle.
