The figure demonstrate an American and a japapnese office, showing the layout and the the arrengement.
Overall, the american office provides more facilities, while the japanese one tend to prioritize team work.
In the japanese office there are two section , with all the workers of each section in one group, adjacent and facing each other, and their is a sheild in between them. The section maneger is right next to them, in addition to the department maneger who is in a distance from them, clearly with a larger office. Moreover there is no windows in the office.
In contrast the American one feel more specious, though the aera is roughly the same, due to the window and the layout, with two workers next to each other. However the section manegers are in a walk in office, same goes for the department maneger. A place is reserved for copying, storage, and two conference room.
