The pie chart shows the proportion of publics in using transportation in Edmonton. Overall, the share is divided into four types include Bus, Taxi, LRT and Car. However, it is also informed that publics’s reasons in car usage are various such as commuting to work, shopping, leisure activities, taking children to school, and business.
First of all, car is used for the highest percentage by closer to a half. The main reason of the car’s usage is for commuting to work by 55%, followed by business and taking children to school in 45% and 40%. However, another publics’ reasons are for shopping and leisure activity, both are in a quarter.
Moreover, the number of usage in transportation is in 1 out of 10 for each Taxi and Bus. Eventually, the interest of Light Tail Transit is higher than both Taxi and Bus by receiving approximately one third votes in Edmonton.
To sum up, car has most voters with a need to go working in a half. However, the number of publics going by Bus and Taxi is both the same in lowest position.
