The given pictures illustrate the changes that took place in Felixstone in the UK over 34 years, from 1967 to 2001.
Overall, the area underwent dramatic changes but the overall size of the town stayed unchanged, with the most important of which were the disappearance of the farmland and the development of the car park with the private beach.
In the north of Felixstone, the golf course remained untouched, and the shop on the right of the high street was replaced by apartments. Another noticeable change was the farmland in the north-east of the town was demolished to make room for a complex, which included a hotel, a swimming pool and two tennis courts
Felixstone saw a number of changes in the southern section of the town, with the addition of the wind turbines on the coast, beneath the unchanged dunes. It is important to note that in the middle of the town the hotel had an eastward relocation, accompanied by the nearby developed car park while the cafe remained in the same place. There used to be a marina and a pier but it was then removed to make way for the public beach, the fish market on the south-east side was also transformed into a private beach.
