The bar graph displays the age at which certain rights and responsibilities should be granted to young people according to the results of a survey from 1000 teenagers in five different countries.
Overall, Japan had the highest ages across all categories in which the adolescents believed certain rights and responsibilities should be granted, including marriage, voting, and criminal responsibility. Besides, both USA and Mexico teenagers believed that marriage and voting should be granted at the similar age. While criminal responsibility is voted to have the least age from all countries.
To start off, marriage had the highest age in Japan and UK with about 22 percent and 18 percent consecutively. However, marriage and voting had the exact same proportion in both USA and Mexico with approximately 18 percent for the former and approximately 16 percent for the latter.
Marriage remained the lowest age voted form all countries with the USA having the least at around 12 percent, followed by Egypt with 14 percent. Next, both Mexico and the UK had the same value at 15 percent and lastly Japan which had the highest age for marriage at around 22 percent.
