The provided graph illustrates the data of survey of 1000 adolescents in five various countries, namely USA, UK, Mexico, Japan and Egypt. The participants were asked at what aged they believed rights and responsibilities, namely marriage, voting and criminal responsibilities, should be granted to young people.
One of the most noticeable features is that criminal responsibilities had the lowest age which should be granted to young people in each country.
In USA, criminal responsibilities had the youngest age among those of other countries which is 12 years old. Interestingly, this is 6 years younger than those of japan.
When it comes to marriage, Japan ranked first place at oldest age of 22 which people believed this is appropriate to get married, followed by UK, USA and Egypt at 21, 18 and 16 respectively. In addition, Japan has the oldest age to be granted for the other rights and responsibilities, voting and criminal responsibilities.
