The first pie chart displays the multiple ways energy is used in a typical Austrillian house. The second pie chart presents the greenhouse gas emmisions caused by energy use.

Overall, heating and water heating uses the most energy compared to the others. However, heating emited a lot less greenhouse gasses compared to water heating which emits the most. Similarly, other appliances use less energy but emit more greenhouse gasses.

Heating uses the most amount of energy at 42% but surprisingly it only emits 15% of greenhouse gasses. Furthermore, water heating uses 30% of energy in an average household and emits 32% of greenhouse gasses. Many families use other appliances that requires15% of energy but emits 28% of greenhouse gasses.

Moreover, refrigeration emits the fourth most of greenhouse gasses at 14%, however, it only needs 7% of the energy. Lighting uses 4% of energy and releases double the amount greenhouse gasses which is 8%.
