The first chart below dipicts the amount of British visit the US and American visit the UK from 2011 to 2015. The second bar chart illustrates the spending by both visistors in that period.
The first chart showed that there were more British visitors to the US than the amount of American to the UK. Although, the UK tourists were higher, it still dipped to under 3000 people in 2013. Then, it reached the peak at 3500 in 2015. While the US visitors saw a fluctuation since 2011, it went up to more than 3000 after hitting a low in 2013.
In the second bar chart, it is clear that the amount of British’s spending were always higher than the US. While the proportion of the UK’s tourists had fluctuated during the 5 year period, its spending were increased sharply from 2013 and reached to the highest with nearly 6000 millions dollar in 2015. Besides, the US’s spending was stable after rising to 4000 millions dollar in the last year of period.
